BBB Pacific Southwest Now Accepting Applications for Small Business Accelerator

Program helps underserved businesses connect to resources to thrive

Better Business Bureau Serving Pacific Southwest (BBB) and GoDaddy Inc. (NYSE: GDDY) are now accepting applications for their final Empower by GoDaddy and BBB Main St. Accelerator Program in 2023. The hybrid in-person/virtual program is open to those operating in Greater Arizona and Southern California looking to increase revenue, improve online presence and grow ethically.

To date, the program has graduated over 260 small businesses and awarded over $122,000 in cash and prizes. In addition, 59% of alumni attribute their success to the program and 86% have said their business is doing well and they expect it to get even better.

As a nonprofit trade organization, BBB ensures that the tools offered through the program will help meet the needs of underserved businesses. Accepted businesses in the program will receive:

  • Six months free coworking in ignite sparked by BBB coworking and meeting destination
  • Free domain and website hosting for two years with GoDaddy which includes website builder for e-commerce.
  • Two free years of Microsoft 365 Email Essentials domain and 50% off product renewals after six years.
  • Customized one-on-one financial coaching mentorship or financial audit from Desert Financial Credit Union.
  • One legal audit of their business or legal mentorship meeting/call from Snell & Wilmer
  • Unlimited one-on-one mentorship opportunities with LifeGuides and BBB mentors during the cohort.

“The mentorship sessions were nothing short of amazing. Their experienced mentors guided me through the intricacies of running a successful business. I am extremely grateful for the time and expertise they dedicated to my development as an entrepreneur,” shared alumni Joshua Plummer from Destination Baby Co.

Applications are being accepted at bbbempower.com until early August and the cohort session of 50 businesses will run for 10 weeks, starting August 30. Accepted participants will receive a full scholarship that covers the cost of programming and will be responsible for a one-time materials fee of $99 to BBB before the start of the program.
