Better Business Bureau Serving the Pacific Southwest (BBB) has named five winning companies for their 2023 BBB Torch Awards for Ethics in San Diego County. Co-Title Sponsored by HomeStreet Bank and ignite sparked by BBB, the program raises awareness in marketplace ethics and recognizes businesses that operate with the highest levels of integrity and raise awareness about marketplace trust.
These exemplary businesses have displayed an outstanding level of commitment to ethics and trust in four categories: character, culture, customers and community. Winners have illustrated the character of their organization’s leadership, how an authentic culture is being fostered, how their company prioritizes its relationship with customers, and the impact the organization is making in their community. They are:
Category 1 Winner (1-4 Employees): JV Marketing Technologies, LLC
Category 2 Winner (5-10 Employees): Countywide Mortgage Lending
Category 3 Winner (11-40 Employees): Ideal Plumbing Heating Air Electrical
Category 4 Winner (41-69 Employees): Marrokal Design and Remodeling
Category 5 Winner (70+ Employees): BrightStar Care of Carlsbad
A signature event was held at the Hyatt Regency La Jolla at Aventine where winners, finalists and community members celebrated the importance of a trustworthy marketplace. Keynote speaker, Jodi Low, an accomplished corporate trainer, inspirational speaker, and the Founder and CEO of U & Improved, shared how to build a booming business, master a mindset for success, and achieve a positive lifestyle through heart-fueled leadership.
