SDBJ 500 recap: A veteran public administration and public affairs executive, Adam Day oversees operations for the Sycuan Band of Kumeyaay Nation, managing its multimillion-dollar budget and hundreds of employees. Sycuan is amid a $226 million hotel and resort expansion scheduled to open in 2019, building a new gas station and convenience store and widening parts of Dehesa Road. Day also is chair of the Cal State University Board of Trustees. He previously worked as vice president and general manager for NCG Porter Novelli, and played a key role with SAIC in its successful bid for the County of San Diego’s landmark information technology outsourcing project, valued at more than $640 million.
