SD 500: Arsalun Tafazoli

The San Diego 500, The Book of Influential Business Leaders, is the market’s most comprehensive product of people you should know in the business community. The 500 includes business leaders and executives who have founded or are running significant companies in terms of number of jobs, key products and services, experts who raise the level of the industry here and beyond and those who lead in the business community. The 500 is selected by the San Diego Business Journal newsroom.

Arsalun Tafazoli

Co-Founder, Consortium Holdings, CH Projects

Arsalun Tafazoli has reshaped San Diego’s culinary scene with his edgy architectural designs and unconventional, unapologetic menus at more than a dozen eateries and bars. He is credited with helping spark the renewal of the East Village and Little Italy where he based many of his establishments. His bars won recognition from Esquire Magazine and the James Beard Foundation. In September 2017, he opened his most ambitious restaurant project yet, Born & Raised, a $6.5 million project that took three years and forced Tafazoli to sell one of his company’s downtown restaurant and bar venues (Rare Form and Fairweather near Petco Park).
