The downtown San Diego law firm Procopio has extended its lease of 126,000 square feet of offices at 525 B Street.
The firm added five years to its lease, which was set to expire in November 2020. The firm has been in the 22-story building since 2010.
Procopio occupies the top five floors of the 450,000 square-foot building, including a rooftop garden.
Recent improvements to the building include and upgraded lobby and refurbished elevators.
Tom Turner, Andy Ewald and Mike Hoeck of CBRE represented Procopio in the transaction. Turner is a former managing partner of Procopio.
Matt Carlson, Jeff Oesterblad and Ryan Grant of CBRE represented the building owner, LaSalle, a real estate management firm headquartered in Chicago.
"In this transaction, we were able to leverage our extensive knowledge, including the owner’s intent to market the building for sale, to strike an exceptionally favorable deal well in advance of the scheduled lease expiration," Turner said.
