SD 500 recap: As longtime CEO of San Diego-based CDC Small Business Finance, Kurt Chillcott has overseen the distribution of more than $13.8 billion in financing to more than 11,000 small businesses. Chillcott first joined CDC in 1998. Prior to that, he worked for the city of San Diego, first as director of economic development services then later, as manager of community and economic development for the city. He is currently a board member for the National Association of Government Guaranteed Lenders, and a past chair for both the International Economic Development Council in Washington, D.C., and the National Association of Development Companies.
