Kratos Defense and Security Solutions Inc. said on Oct. 30 that it received a sole-source contract for C5ISR equipment worth approximately $40 million. The military abbreviation stands for command, control, communications, computing, combat, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance.
The San Diego business did not specify the client, saying only that it was a national security customer. The business said it expects to complete the work in 18 months.
In the same announcement, Kratos (Nasdaq: KTOS) said it provides systems, subsystems, products and hardware in support of multiple missile defense related programs. They include Aegis, THAAD, Patriot, Barak and Arrow.
