Tapestry Collection by Hilton has announced the signing of six properties in California that will open over the next few years, including the San Diego-based RAR Hospitality-owned and managed The Monsaraz, currently Hotel Point Loma, which is scheduled to open in 2020. A spokesperson for Hilton said the Tapestry Collection by Hilton offers hotel owners the ability to access the power of the brand while maintaining their independent spirit, thanks to more flexible standards than traditional brands.

“We are rapidly expanding to offer travelers even more options for an uncommon, upscale hotel stay, with 37 hotels in the pipeline, including six in the great state of California,” Jenna Hackett, global head for Tapestry Collection by Hilton, said via a press release.

Located adjacent to America’s Cup Harbor, the 92-room Hotel Point Loma draws on Portuguese influences with a mid-century modern feel. The new build has 800 square feet of meeting room space and 4,000 square feet of outdoor event space.
