The San Diego-based child abuse prevention and treatment agency, Home Start, has named Rick Roark as its chief financial officer.
Roark previously served as CFO at Serving Seniors, where his responsibilities included oversight of the fiscal affairs of two affordable housing apartment buildings for seniors. Before that, Roark was CFO at the San Diego Center for Children and, before that, director of accounting for Goodwill Industries of San Diego.
Founded in 1972, the nonprofit Home Start, Inc. served more than 22,000 San Diegans in need of service related to child abuse and neglect in 2017.
Roark graduated with a bachelor of science degree in finance from California State University, Hayward.
