Atlanta-based One Ring Networks has acquired Skyriver Communications, a San Diego company which uses fixed wireless technology to deliver high-speed communications services.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. One Ring made the announcement on July 23.
With the acquisition, One Ring adds markets in Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, the Inland Empire region of Riverside and San Bernardino, as well as San Francisco.
The new owner said it hopes to introduce fiber internet, managed information technology services and hosted PBX solutions to its California businesses. (A PBX, or private branch exchange, is an internal telephone system for big organizations.)
Privately held One Ring was founded in Georgia in 2005. CEO John Jenkins is sole owner. One Ring also serves Atlanta, Houston, Dallas-Fort Worth and the wider East Texas region.
