AIS Technology Services named Matt Thoene as CEO in early July.

Thoene was previously senior vice president of global operations with the Uptime Institute, and spent three years as managing director of KIO Networks’ U.S. operation.

“Matt is an exceptional choice to lead the expansion of our comprehensive portfolio of managed services and variety of cloud environments that builds on our traditional colocation offerings,” said Bob Fanch, AIS’ chairman of the board, in a statement distributed by the company.

AIS ranks as the third largest infrastructure as a service company in San Diego, according to the 2018 Book of Lists. Its data centers are in San Diego and Phoenix.
