National City Co. Port-Processing Toyota Tacomas

Pasha Automotive Services (PAS) is now offering specialized port-processing services for 2018 Toyota Tacomas transported from the Toyota Motor Manufacturing de Baja California (TMMBC) to Pasha’s flagship location at the National City Marine Terminal.

Pasha Hawaii, an independent subsidiary of The Pasha Group, has been transporting Toyota vehicles between the U.S. mainland and Hawaii since 2005. Recently, Toyota awarded a separate contract for vehicle port-processing services to PAS, according to John Pasha, senior vice president of the company.

The contract is for 2018 Tacoma and future model years through 2020, the automotive services company said. Toyota’s agreement with their previous processor expired on Jan. 1 and was put out to bid. PAS competed against two other companies and was awarded the new contract.

As of Jan. 3, these services include receiving and inspecting the pickups upon arrival to the PAS facility. The company is then instructed by Toyota on the procedures needed to repair any in-transit damage. “Various accessories are installed in the vehicles, including floor mats, side rail steps, tow hitches, etc.,” Pasha said. “All accessories are genuine Toyota parts authorized for installation by the factory.”

Following processing and accessorization, PAS said the pickups are transported from National City to Toyota dealers in Hawaii, as well as across the U.S. and Mexico.
