Brian Malarkey opened concept restaurants, Herb & Wood and Herb & Eatery with two of his close friends, co-chef Shane McIntyre and general manager Christopher Puffer, in April 2016. It brings to six the number of San Diego area Malarkey concept eateries, including Farmer & the Seahorse in the Alexandria at Torrey Pines and Green Acre Eatery – a farm to table organic restaurant with healthy, flavorful food and seasonal menus. Malarkey’s other restaurants – under the management of international hospitality company Hakkasan Group – include Searsucker (San Diego, Del Mar) and Herringbone (La Jolla). Malarkey’s Little Italy and downtown eateries have won awards locally and nationally, including Zagat, Eater, and San Diego Magazine.
