Cubic Corp. said its mass-transit systems equipment business is moving into a larger facility in Hyderabad, India.
The move supports growth from Cubic’s recent major fare payment system contract awards in New York and Boston.
Cubic (NYSE: CUB) said it expects to double the staff of its India office during the next year.
CTS India Pvt. Ltd. was established in 2009 and supports software engineering design, development and testing of various international projects.
The Asia-Pacific region “continues to be a market of opportunity across our three business divisions at Cubic,” Chairman and CEO Brad Feldmann said in a prepared statement. Cubic’s two other business divisions focus on defense contracting.
