The San Diego chapter of SCORE has relocated from its downtown office to a larger facility at 8825 Aero Drive, Suite 101, the organization announced Jan. 2.
The SCORE organization, a nationwide nonprofit network, links volunteer business mentors with entrepreneurs for free private mentoring via phone, email and video; it has worked with more than 10 million entrepreneurs since 1964, according to the organization.
Sally Broff, who heads the San Diego chapter, said the move provides more room for mentoring, as well as easier access and free parking for people who visit the office. All services the chapter provides, including mentoring and workshops, will take place at the new office, the organization said. Previously the chapter’s office was at 550 W. C St.
SCORE San Diego has more than 80 volunteer mentors; it provided more than 9,000 “individual services” to the business community in San Diego County during its fiscal 2017, the organization said.
Nationwide, the SCORE organization has 300 chapters and about 11,000 volunteers.
