AMN Healthcare Services Inc., the San Diego-based health care staffing company, reported net income of $35.5 million on revenue of $558.1 million in the second quarter of 2018.
Revenue hit an all-time high during the quarter.
The same quarter of 2017 saw AMN (NYSE: AMN) report net income of $31.3 million on revenue of $489.8 million.
One main driver of growth was AMN’s Nurse and Allied Solutions segment, where revenue grew by 11 percent year over year.
“Our team delivered well for nurse and allied clients, with strong fill rates amid a relatively tepid demand environment and pricing headwinds,” CEO Susan Salka said in a statement distributed with the financial results Aug. 2.
Three acquisitions from April —MedPartners, Phillips DiPisa and Leaders For Today — contributed $36 million of revenue in the quarter, AMN said.
The business said it expects revenue in the range of $522 million to $530 million in the current, third quarter, up 6 percent to 7 percent from the third quarter of 2017.
