Carlsbad-based global communications company Viasat Inc. (Nasdaq: VSAT) has opened its newest office in Dublin, Ireland.
The company said in a press release April 4 it expects to create nearly 100 jobs in Ireland over the next few years. The new location will be able to house up to 250 Viasat employees to focus on developing next-generation software and technology for use in Viasat’s target broadband markets.
The move is part of the company’s efforts to strengthen and grow its presence in Europe.
“We are expanding in Dublin as part of our overall objective to strengthen our regional service capabilities, in order to enhance our collaboration with customers and partners throughout Europe,” said Viasat’s President and CEO Rick Baldridge.
