The U.S. Army awarded Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. a five-year, $40 million contract for customized reagents and consumables.
The firm-fixed-price deal was announced Nov. 15. The original Pentagon notice said the award was made to Life Technologies Corp.
One bid was solicited and one bid was received.
The U.S. Army Medical Research and Materiel Command at Fort Detrick, Maryland made the award.
