Diakont Advanced Technologies Inc. of Kearny Mesa said earlier this month that it received a $250,000 California Competes Tax Credit from Gov. Jerry Brown’s Office of Business and Economic Development.
The deal calls for the company to add 28 employees over the next five years and invest $6.8 million in the company, according to a spokesman for the governor’s office. Diakont had 24 California full-time equivalent employees in fiscal 2016, according to documents on file at the governor’s office.
The business offers high-tech robotic solutions that focus on inspecting gas and oil pipelines. It also provides robots that work in nuclear power plants.
