AMSEC LLC and Gryphon Technologies LC will provide services on U.S. Navy aircraft carriers under contracts announced on May 1. Some 40 percent of the work will be performed in San Diego. Work in the carrier ports of San Diego, Norfolk, Va., and Bremerton, Wash. could be worth up to $90.0 million over five years.

The Navy plans to award task orders under the indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contracts. Options in the contracts would extend work to November 2022 and bring the total value of the work to $99.1 million.

AMSEC is based in Virginia Beach, Va. Gryphon is based in Washington, D.C. Both firms have employees in San Diego.

The Navy received two offers for the work.

The Naval Supply Systems Command Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk was the office that awarded the contract.
