Airgain Inc., the antenna maker that made news in August by launching the first San Diego IPO in more than a year, hired Alexis Waadt as its director of investor relations.
Waadt brings 25 years of investment experience to the business, Airgain said in a March 23 announcement. Her resume includes 20 years with Wall Street Associates and nearly five years at Hambrecht and Quist. She received her bachelor’s degree in economics from UC San Diego and her MBA in finance from San Diego State.
Airgain (Nasdaq: AIRG) makes embedded antenna technologies for wireless networking, which go on a variety of devices in home, business and industrial environments. Set-top boxes, access points, routers, gateways, media adapters and digital televisions all use Airgain antennas. The business reported sales of $43.4 million in 2016. It reported 50 employees in the U.S. and abroad on Dec. 31.
