San Diego-based Renovate America, which provides home improvement financing, announced Tuesday that Patrick Moore, who runs the company's licensed lending subsidiary, would also take on the newly created role of chief lending officer.

Moore, who joined the company in August 2015, co-developed and launched the subsidiary, called Benji. The business is scheduled to expand from 10 states to nationwide in the third quarter of the year.

Renovate is best known for providing financing for residential property assessed clean energy (PACE) programs in the U.S., which fund energy-efficient home improvements. In his new role, Moore will lead underwriting, lending strategy and all customer contact operations for Renovate America, including PACE financing.

Prior to his tenure at Renovate, Moore spent nearly two decades in the financial services industry, serving as chief operating officer at point-of-sale national consumer finance company Genesis Financial Solutions, COO at Toyota Financial Services and in a variety of executive positions for the U.S. credit card business at Capital One Financial.

Before that, Moore, a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, was a pilot; he held several operations and engineering roles while serving as an officer between 1992 and 1999.
