The U.S. Navy awarded Escondido-based I.E. Pacific Inc. a $9.9 million task order for the renovation of bachelor enlisted quarters at Naval Base Ventura County in Port Hueneme.

Work will completely renovate all rooms of the barracks building. Improvements will include new flooring, paint and plumbing fixtures as well as exterior doors and windows. All of the electrical and mechanical systems will be replaced. Heating, ventilation and air conditioning will be added to each room.

Work is expected to be complete by April 2019.

The Naval Facilities Engineering Command Southwest of San Diego received five proposals for the work. The Pentagon announced the award Dec. 20.

I.E. Pacific is a woman-owned, HUBZone certified, small disadvantaged business.
