The U.S. Army awarded San Diego-based Cubic Corp. a $40.5 million contract for mission support services for the Joint Readiness Training Center at Fort Polk, Louisiana. The center is a place for the armed services to conduct realistic war simulations before deployment.

Work on the deal will continue through June.

The U.S. Army Mission and Installation Contracting Command at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, awarded the contract, announced on Dec. 19. One bid was solicited with one bid received.
