Local nonprofits TERI Inc. and the Crimson Center for Speech & Language say they are merging effective Sept 1. The two organizations serve people with special needs.
TERI is acquiring Crimson’s assets by assuming its liabilities. The Crimson Center will become a TERI program, and its location in Miramar will continue to provide services and be a base in San Diego for those services under TERI’s operation. Crimson’s clinical staff, including its founder and director, Karyn Searcy, have been asked to remain with the organization. Administrative functions of the clinic will be re-organized with many responsibilities being transferred to current TERI employees.
TERI expects to expand speech and language services in North County.
