Mitek Systems Inc. reported net income of $616,000 on revenue of $11.8 million in its third quarter, which ended June 30.

The downtown San Diego business reported net income of $739,000 on revenue of $9.1 million in the same quarter of fiscal 2016.

Mitek (Nasdaq: MITK) makes software for mobile devices, describing its specialty as mobile capture and identity verification software solutions.

“Our record revenue was driven by continued growth from our industry leading identity verification and mobile check deposit products, contributing to another strong quarter for Mitek,” CEO James DeBello said in a prepared statement. “Our identity solutions squarely address the large and growing consumer identity and access management market and are a significant growth driver for Mitek as businesses look to optimize the digital channel for new customer on-boarding, payments and authentication.”
