PSAR CEO Will Also Lead North San Diego County Association of Realtors

Following an agreement struck earlier this year by two San Diego-area Realtor trade groups to share resources, the CEO of the smaller of the two organizations has been tapped to head up both starting Oct. 1.

Richard D’Ascoli, CEO of the Pacific Southwest Association of Realtors, is taking over for Dianne McMillan, the retiring head of the North San Diego County Association of Realtors.

McMillan, who has been with NSDCAR for 25 years, plans to retire at year’s end.

D’Ascoli is slated to take on the new role on Oct. 1 and the title of CEO on Jan. 2 after McMillan’s retirement.

A statement from the organizations said the associations will continue to operate as two distinct organizations under the oversight of separate boards of directors.

The two organizations earlier this year began sharing access to services, such listing data, resources and discounts.

An Air Force veteran, D’Ascoli has a master’s degree from Golden Gate University and a bachelor’s degree from Fordham University.

PSAR has about 2,500 members and operates service centers in Chula Vista and El Cajon while NSDCAR has about 4,800 members and operates service centers in Vista, Carmel Valley, Carlsbad, Escondido and Fallbrook.
