One LLP, an intellectual property, technology and media law firm, opened a new office in San Diego, the firm announced.

According to One LLP, it has added Nicholas Janda and Neil Ray as partners. They will be joining IP attorneys Mitchell Brook and Stephen Lobbin at the new office, located in the Del Mar area at 12340 El Camino Real.

This San Diego submarket is well-known for having a large presence in biotechnology and life sciences, information communications technology and clean-tech sectors with significant intellectual property needs, according to the firm.

“As One LLP continues to expand, San Diego’s vibrant economy and focus on technology were a natural fit for us,” said founding Partner John Tehranian.

According to the firm, Janda brings nearly a decade of IP counseling experience, and has represented clients in matters of biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and telecommunications patent litigation. Previously with O’Melveny & Myers and Knobbe Martens, he advises clients on sensitive disputes throughout the country and complex business transactions.

Ray, an experienced technology and IP transactional attorney, focuses his practice on data privacy and cybersecurity. Formerly with Sheppard Mullin, his knowledge of global privacy and cybersecurity trends allows him to assist clients in developing and implementing privacy and data security policies and procedures in compliance with applicable laws, the firm said..

The firm also has offices in Beverly Hills and Newport Beach.
