The U.S. Air Force awarded Northrop Grumman Corp. a $203.6 million contract modification covering logistic services and sustainment for its high-altitude Global Hawk aircraft.
The Pentagon announced the award on June 21. Work will continue through June 2017.
Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) runs the Global Hawk program out of its offices in Rancho Bernardo.
The jet-powered Global Hawk provides intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, flies at 60,000 feet and is capable of staying aloft for more than 34 hours, according to information provided by the Air Force.
The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center of Robins Air Force Base, Ga. awarded the contract.
