Vistage Worldwide Inc. said it named Sam Reese as CEO. Reese succeeds Leon Shapiro, who will continue to serve on the Vistage board of directors.
Based in San Diego’s Carmel Valley, Vistage offers coaching and mentorship to executives through small groups in communities all over the world.
Reese most recently served as CEO and board member for the Miller Heiman business consulting organization. He has held senior positions at Corporate Express, Kinko’s Inc. and British Telecom. Reese holds a business administration degree from the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado and has completed various executive programs at Stanford University and Northwestern University. He has been a Vistage member for nearly a decade.
“Sam is passionate about empowering leaders to achieve their goals and has a track record of strengthening corporate cultures and building world-class teams,” said Robert Finocchio, chairman of the Vistage board. “His expertise makes him ideally suited to leverage the progress we have made under Leon’s leadership, further expanding Vistage’s network around the world.”
Vistage has more than 20,000 members. Some 850 chairmen and chairwomen lead its localized advisory groups.
