One of Raytheon Co.’s San Diego projects got a boost with a U.S. Navy contract modification announced on Feb. 10.
The Navy awarded Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems a $57.8 million modification for engineering work to the ship self-defense system.
The modification includes an increase to the fiscal 2017 option amount and a one-year extension to include fiscal 2018 requirements. If exercised, the total modification will be worth $133.6 million.
The Naval Sea Systems Command of Washington, D.C. awarded the deal.
Raytheon is based in Massachusetts. Its shares trade on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol RTN.
