Las Vegas-based airline Allegiant recently began new nonstop service between Stockton and San Diego International Airport.
A company statement said the new service, which started April 7, will operate twice weekly and marks the carrier’s second route serving the local market, following the June 2008 debut of service between San Diego and Bellingham, Wash. Fare, scheduling and other information are at allegiant.com.
The low-cost carrier in January announced plans for 19 new routes nationwide, including the San Diego-Stockton service. On May 6, Allegiant plans to begin nonstop service between San Diego and El Paso, Texas.
