Kratos Defense & Security Solutions Inc. received two deals collectively worth $5 million that could ultimately be worth up to $17 million. The San Diego contractor made the announcement Sept. 10.
A large U.S. mass-transit authority, which the business did not name, awarded the contracts to design and engineer on-board video surveillance systems. Kratos (Nasdaq: KTOS) will deploy the systems on new light-rail cars and transit buses.
Kratos’ Public Safety & Security Solutions division, also based in San Diego’s University Towne Center neighborhood, got the work.
