General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc. has a $19.1 million logistics deal with France, the Pentagon announced on Oct. 26.

The U.S. Air Force, acting on behalf of the French air force, awarded GA-ASI a $19.1 million option on a delivery order for contractor logistics support for the MQ-9 Reaper unmanned aircraft.

Work will continue through the end of 2016 and will be performed in Poway — site of GA-ASI’s headquarters — as well as Niamey, Niger.

The Medium Altitude Unmanned Aircraft Systems office at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio awarded the deal.
