Tapestry Solutions Inc. of San Diego received a $7.2 million contract modification from the U.S. Transportation Command on Oct. 1. Under the deal, Tapestry will sustain the current, version 6 of the ICODES cargo transportation planning software.
Tapestry describes ICODES as a joint decision-support system that provides near real-time planning and tracking of cargo stowage for air, ocean, rail and truck. The software lets users easily exchange and interpret global cargo movement plans. ICODES stands for Integrated Computerized Deployment System.
The new deal calls for Tapestry to support the current version of ICODES at San Diego and Scott Air Force Base in Illinois while ICODES version 7 is being developed and implemented under a separate contract.
