Cobham recently received approximately $51 million from BAE Systems for microelectronic products for the F-35 Lightning II platform.

Cobham Microelectronic Solutions is a business unit of Cobham Advanced Electronics Solutions, which innovates advanced radio frequency technology for mission performance. This unit will fulfill this series of orders for microelectronic components and assemblies for radar and electronic warfare for the F-35 Lightning II, a fifth-generation fighter aircraft from Lockheed Martin.

Every F-35 Lightning II has over 100 Cobham components onboard, including microelectric components, motion control solutions for the Electro-optical Targeting System (EOTS) gimbal, communications cryptography chips, pilot survival products and aerial refueling equipment.
