The U.S. Navy awarded BAE Systems San Diego Ship Repair a $37 million deal to perform shipyard work on the Ticonderoga-class cruiser USS Lake Champlain.

The Pentagon announced the contract modification on May 15, and BAE is expected to finish the job in February. The Navy described the maintenance and modification program as “a selected restricted availability with emergent docking.”

The Southwest Regional Maintenance Center of San Diego awarded the contract.
