Housing Commission Acquires Clairemont Mesa Apartments for $14.7M

The San Diego Housing Commission has acquired the 120-unit Village North Senior Garden Apartments in Clairemont Mesa East for approximately $14.7 million, according to CoStar Group and public data.

The seller of the property at 7720 Belden St. was Brian & Jeanette Malone Trust of San Diego, recorded as Village North LLC. The buyer was represented by James Neil, Eric Comer and Merrick Matricardi, of brokerage company CBRE Group Inc.

The apartment complex was built on 2.36 acres in 1985 and was fully occupied at the time of sale.

The Housing Commission, established in 1979, is a public agency that oversees affordable housing programs for the city of San Diego.
