BizAir Shuttle Starting Service from Carlsbad Airport

Chicago-based BizAir Shuttle plans a June 18 start for its new charter flights with service between Carlsbad’s McClellan-Palomar Airport and Los Angeles International Airport.

Company officials said BizAir will begin its service with two daily round-trip flights and eventually expand to seven between Carlsbad and Los Angeles. Flights to Las Vegas will be added in July, with flights to Phoenix starting in August.

BizAir Shuttle uses 30-passenger Embraer and Dornier jets, with service and other information at BizAirShuttle.com. Officials said the new flights will fill a service void left by the April departure of United Express from the county-run Carlsbad airport.

BizAir Shuttle is operated by BizCharters Inc., a public charter operator that charges no baggage or cancellation fees, according to a statement.
