BAE Systems San Diego Ship Repair Gets $36.6 Million Deal for Destroyer Upgrade, Maintenance

The U.S. Navy said on recently that it awarded BAE Systems San Diego Ship Repair a $36.6 million deal for maintenance and upgrade work to an Arleigh Burke-class destroyer, the USS Kidd.
Work will include a trip to the dry dock. A possible contract modification would increase the value of the deal slightly, to $37.3 million. Work is expected to culminate in April.
The Southwest Regional Maintenance Center of San Diego awarded the contract modification.
BAE Systems is a publicly traded company based in the United Kingdom.
