PriceSmart Inc., the owner and operator of membership shopping warehouse clubs in Latin America and the Caribbean, announced that for the month of May 2015, net sales increased 13.8 percent to $230.2 million from $202.3 million in May of 2014.

According to the San Diego-based company, for the nine months ended May 31, 2015, net sales increased 10.8 percent to $2.04 billion from $1.84 billion for the nine months ended May 31, 2014.

PriceSmart said it plans to release third quarter 2015 financial results on July 9, 2015.

There were 36 warehouse clubs in operation at the end of May 2015 and 33 warehouse clubs in operation at the end of May 2014, according to the company.
