San Diego-based mezzanine debt and private equity firm Huntington Capital has a new name, HCAP Partners, the company said Tuesday.

HCAP Partners invests $2 million to $9 million in healthcare, technology, services and manufacturing companies that generate between $10 million to $75 million each. The firm has provided growth capital for 50 companies since its founding in 2000.

“The name HCAP Partners reflects 15 years of experience as Huntington Capital and, more importantly, our partnerships with business owners and investors,” Managing Partner Tim Bubnack said.

HCAP has managed more than $200 million in total assets spread across three funds.
