Mitek Systems Inc., creator of mobile check deposit technology, said Thursday it saw record third-quarter revenue of $6.4 million in the three months ending in June, up nearly 38 percent from the same period last year.

San Diego-based Mitek said the revenue was driven by its mobile deposit and identity verification technologies. It was the 10th consecutive quarter of year-over-year revenue growth. Mitek also posted a profit of $900,000, its fourth straight profitable quarter.

Mitek’s check deposit software is licensed by more than 4,000 financial institutions. Earlier this year, Mitek acquired IDchecker, which makes products to authenticate government IDs and recognize faces.

The company said it expected revenues of about $24 million for fiscal year 2015, $5 million higher than its 2014 revenues.
