Leaders of California Indian tribes that run casino and hospitality businesses will convene on the Rincon reservation outside Valley Center next month to discuss what’s next for their industry.

The Western Indian Gaming Conference is set for Feb. 10-12 at Harrah’s Resort Southern California.

Topics on the table during the Feb. 11 sessions include Internet poker, the legality of gaming in California card rooms, tribal-state compacts, financing casino expansions and microgrids.

The California Nations Indian Gaming Association of Sacramento puts on the conference every year. Daniel Tucker of the Sycuan Band of the Kumeyaay Nation is the association’s chairman.
