Cohu Inc., the Poway maker of test equipment for semiconductor manufacturers, reported net income of $374,000 on net sales of $96.2 million for its fourth quarter, which ended on Dec. 27. In the same quarter one year ago, the company reported a net loss of $6.5 million on net sales of $61.1 million.

For the year, Cohu reported net income of $8.7 million on net sales of $333.3 million. It was a better showing than 2013, when the company reported a net loss of $33.4 million on net sales of $231.6 million.

Some 94 percent of Cohu’s revenue is from semiconductor equipment, while 6 percent is from microwave communications equipment.

Highlights for 2014 included the sale of its video camera segment, Cohu Electronics. In December, Luis Müller took over as CEO, succeeding James Donahue, who retired.
