New York-based Loews Hotels & Resorts has appointed Sean Clancy as managing director of Loews Coronado Bay Resort, heading all operations at the 439-room property.
A Loews statement said Clancy has more than 22 years of hospitality industry experience, most recently serving as managing director of Loews Philadelphia Hotel, where he led a substantial property renovation.
Clancy joined Loews in 2012, managing the company’s Miami Beach property in Florida. Prior to that, he held senior leadership positions at The Ritz Carlton Hotel Co. and Waldorf Astoria Hotels and Resorts.
At Loews Coronado Bay, he will oversee general operations of the resort and its five restaurants and lounges, full-service spa and conference facilities. Loews Coronado Bay Resort is located on a 15-acre peninsula at 4000 Coronado Bay Road in Coronado.
Loews Hotels & Resorts owns and operates 23 hotels and resorts in the U.S. and Canada, including the newly acquired Loews Regency San Francisco.
