Cubic Corp. said on April 8 that it received a contract worth more than $6 million from the government of New Zealand to design, supply and install a weapons training range.
Cubic (NYSE: CUB) said that under the deal, its Cubic Range Design Solutions business unit will “provide an integrated ballistic design and fit-out capability to enable a safe and realistic live-fire training environment.” The range will include urban, maritime and aviation capabilities.
Cubic, which is based in Kearny Mesa, splits its business between defense contracting and specialized equipment for transit systems. It has international business in both areas.
