San Diego-based SingldOut Inc., a dating website that analyzes members’ DNA and matches people based in part on genetic compatibility, said it has raised more than a half-million dollars in its seed financing round from a group of private investors.

According to the company’s press release, SingldOut raised well over its initial goal, and will use the funding to continue its expansion into new cities while working to create and launch its corresponding mobile application.

SingldOut combines traditional online dating with DNA analysis to determine long-term chemistry and relationship satisfaction. By adding these additional filters, the company said users can search for the partners they are most compatible with both psychologically and biologically.

“We’re overwhelmed by the positive response we’ve received since the launch of earlier this summer,” said CEO Jana Bayad. “Closing our seed round was a huge win for SingldOut and one that will help us continue to grow in major cities across North America.”

SingldOut’s funding announcement coincides with the company’s website relaunch, which has been revamped to offer a modern layout. Users are offered in-depth search options that incorporate many levels of compatibility.
