Stingaree To Be Replaced With New Nightclub

The San Diego nightclub scene is about to say goodbye to an old favorite and hello to a fresh face.

Hakkasan Group announced Omnia San Diego, a new nightlife concept set to open in spring 2015, is taking over the space occupied by Stingaree.

Stingaree will have a closing party Nov. 2. Then, the site will undergo a complete remodel.

“We selected San Diego as the next location to expand our newest nightlife concept, Omnia, as it is such a vibrant and booming city, and we believe it (Omnia) will complement the existing offerings in the area,” said Neil Moffitt, CEO of Hakkasan Group.

Omnia San Diego’s opening will follow the debut of the brand’s flagship nightclub at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

Earlier this year, Hakkasan acquired San Diego-headquartered Enlightened Hospitality Group LLC, which owned Stingaree.

Hakkasan Group is a worldwide entertainment, dining, nightlife, and hospitality company with establishments across the U.S., Europe, Middle East, and Asia.

According to Hakkasan, its ‘brand-first’ philosophy builds dining, nightlife, day-life, and soon-to-be hotel concepts into hospitality brands, all with a focus on service, design, and innovation.
