The U.S. Army steered millions of dollars of training work to Cubic Corp. over the last several months, the San Diego company reported on Oct. 23.
Under the deals, Cubic (NYSE: CUB)’s Virginia-based Operations Support and Education Group will provide services to the Army’s training and education center. One focus will be educational technology. Work will be performed at Fort Leavenworth, Kan., and Fort Sill, Okla., and is expected to last through 2017.
The U.S. Army’s Combined Arms Center at Fort Leavenworth originally awarded the contract vehicle. In recent months, the Army issued four task orders; each has a single base year and two option years. If the Army exercises all of its options, the work will be worth $9.63 million to Cubic.
